COOKIE POLICY

Elizabete Artisan Bakery + Coffee Shoppe®

Elizabete Bakery Company LLC

Last Updated: August 25, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, what types of cookies are used on www.elizabetebakery.com, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. We do not sell your personal data or share personally identifiable information with advertisers. This policy applies to our main website at www.elizabetebakery.com. Our online ordering platform at order.elizabetebakery.com is operated by Toast, Inc. and is subject to Toast’s own cookie and privacy practices at pos.toasttab.com/privacy.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to work more efficiently, and to provide information to the website owner. Cookies can be set by the website you are visiting (first-party cookies) or by third-party services that are running on that website (third-party cookies).

Similar technologies include web beacons (also called pixels or tracking pixels), local storage, and session storage. Where this policy refers to cookies, it also applies to these similar technologies unless stated otherwise.

2. Who Sets Cookies on Our Website

Cookies on www.elizabetebakery.com are set by the following parties:

Elizabete Bakery Company LLC, as the website operator, through WordPress and its core functionality.

Automattic, Inc. through the Jetpack plugin that provides basic website analytics.

TranslatePress, through the language translation plugin that remembers your language preference.

WPConsent, the consent management plugin that records your cookie preferences.

Google LLC, through Google Analytics 4 (website statistics; analytics cookies load only after Statistics consent) and Google reCAPTCHA (bot and spam protection on our forms).

Elementor, the page builder, which sets a session cookie for logged-in editors only.

Meta Platforms, Inc. through the Meta Pixel advertising tool, when advertising cookies are enabled and consented to. The Meta Pixel (ID 914755081584926) is active on this website and fires only after the Advertisement cookie category is enabled in our consent manager.

Toast, Inc. through the embedded ordering widget and any cross-site integrations with order.elizabetebakery.com. Toast operates independently on the order subdomain.

3. Cookie Categories and What We Use

Our website uses cookies grouped into the categories described below. Consent is managed through WPConsent, which presents these cookies in its banner as three consent groups: Essential (always active and cannot be disabled), Statistics, and Marketing. The detailed categories described below map into those three groups, and non-essential cookies load only after you consent. You can change your preferences at any time using the consent button on our website.

Category 1, Necessary Cookies (WPConsent group: Essential)

Necessary cookies are essential for our website to function correctly. They cannot be disabled. Without these cookies, the website would not work properly. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information.

wordpress_logged_in_[hash], WordPress, Identifies logged-in WordPress admin users, Session.

wp-settings-[user], WordPress, Stores editor and admin preferences, 1 year.

wplockout_login_cookie, WordPress, Security lockout protection, Session.

wpconsent_preferences, WPConsent, Stores your cookie consent preferences, 1 year.

_GRECAPTCHA, Google (reCAPTCHA), Bot and spam protection on website forms (security), 6 months.

Category 2, Functional Cookies (WPConsent group: Essential)

Functional cookies allow our website to remember choices you have made and provide enhanced, more personal features. These cookies may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages.

trp_language, TranslatePress, Stores language preference for translated content, 1 year.

toast_session, Toast, Inc, Maintains your ordering session when using our Toast widget, Session.

Category 3, Analytics Cookies (WPConsent group: Statistics)

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. This information helps us improve our website and the experience we provide.

_stid, Jetpack / WordPress.com, Unique visitor identifier for anonymized analytics, 2 years.

_ga, Google LLC (Google Analytics 4), Distinguishes unique visitors, 2 years.

_ga_2HR5J85SMG, Google LLC (Google Analytics 4), Persists GA4 session state, 2 years.

jetpack_holiday_snow_[year], Jetpack / WordPress.com, Site feature tracking, Session.

wp_sharing_[service], WordPress, Tracks content sharing activity, Session.

Jetpack analytics data is processed by Automattic, Inc. in accordance with their privacy policy at automattic.com/privacy. The data collected is anonymized and does not personally identify individual visitors.

Category 4, Performance Cookies (WPConsent group: Statistics)

Performance cookies help us understand and analyze key performance indicators of the website and help us improve the visitor experience.

jetpack_boost_score, Jetpack / WordPress.com, Tracks page performance scores, 30 days.

elementor, Elementor, Stores page builder session data for logged-in editors only, Session.

Category 5, Advertisement Cookies (WPConsent group: Marketing)

Advertisement cookies are used to deliver relevant advertisements to you based on your interests and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. These cookies are only activated with your explicit consent.

Current Status: The Meta Pixel advertising tool (ID 914755081584926) is installed and active on www.elizabetebakery.com and is gated by our Cookie Consent Manager (WPConsent). Before you consent to the Marketing group, no advertisement cookies are set and the Meta Pixel does not fire. Once you consent to the Marketing group, the Meta Pixel sets the cookies listed below. The Meta Pixel is additionally enabled on our ordering subdomain order.elizabetebakery.com through Toast’s pixel settings. On that subdomain it is not gated by WPConsent; consent is handled by Toast’s own consent manager, as described in Section 5.

When consented to, advertisement cookies set by Meta Platforms, Inc. include tracking identifiers that connect your website visit to your Facebook or Instagram account for the purpose of measuring ad campaign performance and enabling retargeted advertising. These cookies will only be set after you have actively consented to the Advertisement category in our consent manager.

_fbp, Meta Platforms, Inc., Identifies your browser/device for ad delivery and measurement, 3 months.

_fbc, Meta Platforms, Inc., Stores the last ad click (set only if you arrive via a Meta ad) for attribution, 3 months.

fr, Meta Platforms, Inc., Ad delivery and retargeting on Facebook, 3 months.

4. How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences

4.1 Cookie Consent Manager

Our website uses a Cookie Consent Manager provided by WPConsent (WPConsent Lite). When you first visit our website, a consent banner lets you Accept All, Reject, or open Preferences to choose by category. Scripts that would set non-essential cookies are blocked until you give consent. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we automatically treat it as an opt-out and decline non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time using the consent button on our website.

Your preferences are recorded in a cookie on your device. If you clear your browser cookies, your preferences will be reset and you will be asked to consent again on your next visit.

4.2 Browser Settings

You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Instructions for managing cookies in common browsers are available at the following locations:

Google Chrome: chrome://settings/cookies

Mozilla Firefox: support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cookies

Safari: support.apple.com/en-us/guide/safari/sfri11471/mac

Microsoft Edge: support.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge

Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our website. In particular, disabling Necessary cookies may prevent some pages from loading correctly.

4.3 Opting Out of Analytics

To opt out of Jetpack analytics tracking specifically, you may use the Jetpack opt-out available at jetpack.com/support/privacy. This will prevent Jetpack from tracking your visits to our website.

4.4 Opting Out of Advertising

You can opt out of Meta advertising targeting by adjusting your preferences in our Cookie Consent Manager, by visiting facebook.com/settings/ads, or by using the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool at optout.aboutads.info.

5. Our Ordering Platform, order.elizabetebakery.com

Our online ordering platform at order.elizabetebakery.com is a separate domain operated by Toast, Inc. When you visit this domain, Toast’s own cookie and tracking practices apply, and cookie consent is managed by Toast’s consent manager rather than by the Cookie Consent Manager on www.elizabetebakery.com. Toast sets cookies related to your ordering session, payment processing, and platform functionality, and loads third-party services it has selected, including Amplitude (product analytics), Datadog (performance monitoring), Sift (payment fraud prevention), Google reCAPTCHA (bot protection), and the Google Maps API (used to confirm that your delivery address falls within our delivery area). Elizabete Bakery Company LLC does not control those cookies or services. Separately, and by our own choice, we have enabled two of our own measurement tools on this subdomain through Toast’s pixel settings: the Meta Pixel (ID 914755081584926) and Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID G-2HR5J85SMG), the same identifiers used on our main website. These record page views on the ordering and checkout pages and, in the case of the Meta Pixel, the text of buttons you click through Meta’s automatic event detection feature. Neither tool is present on the Toast order confirmation page. Please review Toast’s privacy policy at pos.toasttab.com/privacy for details about how Toast uses cookies and tracking technologies.

5.1 Our Online Cookie Shop, shop.elizabetebakery.com

Our New York Cookie online shop at shop.elizabetebakery.com operates on the Shopify platform, which sets its own cookies under Shopify’s cookie policy (shopify.com/legal/cookies). Shopify sets strictly necessary cookies for the shop to function, including session, cart, and security cookies (for example, _shopify_y, _shopify_s, cart, and secure_customer_sig). Once the shop is live, it also uses Google Analytics 4 cookies (for example, _ga and _ga_ identifiers) for shop analytics, and the Meta Pixel cookie (_fbp) together with Meta’s Conversions API for advertising measurement, linked to the same Pixel ID used on our main website. A technical scan performed on August 1, 2026, before the shop’s public launch, showed only Shopify’s own infrastructure requests active. The Cookie Consent Manager on www.elizabetebakery.com does not cover the shop subdomain; cookie preferences for the shop are managed through Shopify’s privacy settings and your browser controls as described in Section 4.2.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers include a Do Not Track (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want your browsing activity tracked. Our website does not currently respond to DNT signals, as there is no industry standard for how websites should respond to such signals. We continue to monitor developments in this area and will update this policy if a standard is established.

7. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our cookie use, the tools we deploy, or applicable law. When we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. We will provide additional notice for material changes, such as the activation of the Meta Pixel advertising tool, before those changes take effect. Your continued use of our website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Cookie Policy.
